| The Worlds Finest writing instruments demand the worlds finest materials | |
|
This maxim has held true for the A.T. Cross Company since its foundation. Cross rolled gold models have a layer of 10, 14, or 18 karat fold permanently bonded to a supporting brass base and meet the US standard which requires the gold layer to be 1/20th of the total metal weight. Sterling silver writing instruments contain 92.5% pure silver plus hardening metals for strength. Our exclusive Lapis Lazuli pens benefit from a patented process that affixes the semi-precious gemstone with 22 karat gold flake to the brass base for a lifetime of beauty. Cross lacquer writing instruments are extremely hard and durable finish polished to a superb lustre. |

| Four writing systems, a single standard of unsurpassed beauty | |
|
Cross craftsmanship has been translated into four uniquely personal writing systems. The most prestigious writing instrument to bear the Cross name is the fountain pen. With its patented feed system, ink flow from the cartridge to the nib is always quick and even. Each fountain pen's tip conforms to the unique pressure and angle of the owner's handwriting style, providing perfect writing smoothness and highly personalised writing pleasure. |

Our Selectip® rolling ball pen is perhaps the most versatile of all Cross writing instruments. It accepts a wide range of refills to meet all your writing needs; rolling ball refills, which write through carbons, porous-point refills, long-lasting jumbo ball-point refills and document market refills. Cross ball-point pens are distinguished by the fluid propel-retract mechanism and smooth writing characteristics that Cross is known for world-wide. Cross ball-point pen refills are available in four different colours and two writing tip sizes. With the exception of the Solo range, Cross Mechanical pencils feature a unique twist mechanism, enabling the writer to advance the lead two distinct ways: by twisting the cap or barrel or by pushing on the eraser. A "no-spill" lead cassette eliminates the need for lead handling. |
